Blog Crash & Rebuild

I never thought it would happen to me…and yet it did. My blog crashed this past weekend. Thankfully I’d done a backup, but rather than rebuild on blogger, I decided it was a great opportunity to move everything over to my own site.

If you’ve come to view posts prior to November 1st, 2011, they are slowly being added to this new blog. Thank you for your patience. If you’d like to see a post that’s not here, contact me and I’ll be sure to work on that post next!

The first time I got to photograph this family, Little Miss L was just barely growing in her mommy’s tummy. Then they moved to the other side of the country and I thought it would be a very long time before I got to do so again. Surprise! They came to Arizona for Christmas and we took some time to update their family photos. I think they turned out great – I just love the rich colors in these!

New Logo Design

One of my backburner projects is to redesign my logo.  I actually really like my current logo, but there’s something about the J that draws me and makes me want to feature it as the primary focal point. It’s time to do some branding in any case…So as I’ve been playing around, I’ve come up with three different logo options to chose between.

Option 1      (& the current logo/watermark)

Option 2      (my current favorite)

Option 3      (the underdog)

I’ve already updated the background of my website. It used to have polka dots in bright green and aqua. But I decided I preferred a plain white one to that. Now I’m looking at changing my color scheme all together. I think the green, aqua, and chocolate brown are going to be replaced. I love the color combinations of yellows, charcoals, and white. Hmmmm…..must do some thinking for sure.

XOXO

I squeezed this session in right before Christmas and am so grateful I took the time to do so. What an amazing family. They hadn’t been in the same place at the same time with their dad in quite some time, so this was to be a memorable Christmas.  These sisters have such an amazing relationship, they truly made me miss not having grown up with a sister, because in my experience, you can’t have that type of friendship with a brother.  Not only are these three girls filled with personality – they each possess a stunning beauty. A wonderful family and a very lucky dad. Here’s your sneak peek and thank you for asking me to capture your holiday memories!

We hadn’t really planned on a session but since I had a new prop to try out in my car and this little babe was less than 24 hours old when I got to meet her for the first time, we decided on a quick mini shoot. Quick is an understatement as I only had about 15 minutes before all my light was gone (the sun had already set).  Here is Little Miss C with a new prop – a wicker pram that is over 100 years old!  I think they’re both keepers.
